Our Goals

Our goal is to Champion Goal 5 of the SDG's - Gender Equality

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDG's) are set of 17 goals and 169 targets agreed by all UN member states with the aim to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all. They address the global challenges we face, including those related to poverty, inequality, climate, environmental degradation, prosperity, and peace and justice. The Goals interconnect and in order to leave no one behind, it is important that we achieve each Goal and target by 2030. At UNACWCA, it is our ultimate goal to champion Goal 5 - Gender Equality across the country.

  • Eliminate all forms of violence against all women and girls in the public and private spheres, including trafficking and sexual and other types of exploitation
  • Eliminate all harmful practices, such as child, early and forced marriage and female genital mutilation
  • Recognize and value unpaid care and domestic work through the provision of public services, infrastructure and social protection policies and the promotion of shared responsibility within the household and the family as nationally appropriate

Nana Ofori Amoako-Attah was enstooled as Otumfuo's Sasamopanin Hene on December 7, 2008, at Manhyia Palace, Kumasi in the Ashanti region of Ghana, West Africa.
He was born on January 3, 1950, in the small town of Suame, Kumasi in Ghana. He is the first child of the late Nana Akua Konadu Amankwah1(SasamoHemaa)and the late Opanin Kwame Ofori of Mampong Adi-Dwan.Also, influential in his life was his grandfather, the late Odehye Nana Osei-Bonsu, Baabriwhene of Asante Manpong, his wife, the late Mrs. Bertha Osei-Bonsu, and theirson Hon, K.G. Osei-Bonsu (a former Minister of State in the 2 nd Republic of Ghana.)


Hon. Albert Boakye Okyere is an astute politician who has acquired extensive knowledge in leadership and local Governance through learning and practice for the past two decades. As a campaign strategist, he was elected the Regional Organizer of the New Patriotic Party in the Greater Accra Region of Ghana (2008-2012) and subsequently elected to the position of Second Vice Chairman (2013-2016) that brought the party into power in 2017, and helped the Party to implement the policies of School Feeding Program and Free Senior High School which has taken a substantial number of children off the streets into Classroom.
